Peele’s first foray into the directorial world came with some raised eyebrows. Many were skeptical of a well-known comedian leading a movie that was presented as a horror flick. When the movie premiered, it came out to immense critical acclaim. Although it held a 100 percent on movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes for a short time, the title had to settle for a the 99 percent approval score it holds to this day.
