James Cameron had pegged Matt Damon to star as the lead in the highly-anticipated film Avatar. However, Damon passed due to a filming conflict with The Bourne Ultimatum. Damon consistently has turned down high-profile roles. Two other notable ones include Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight and the title character in Daredevil.
