With Casting JonBenet, director Kitty Green tapped into a unique side of the mystery. Green set up an ‘audition’ in JonBenet’s hometown of Boulder, Colorado for a film about her. However, Green’s main purpose was to record on-camera interviews with those who showed up — with the intent to talk about the murder and to make a connection between the mysterious murder and the actors’ own lives. The results are stunning.
